Interview Project with Dialog - Flood Warning System

Assume that there is a river near your town and the area near the river is being flooded every year due to heavy rain. There are about ten thousand families living near the river and government is taking actions to re-locate these people for temporary period when the area is being flooded. However, due to the delay of information these people lose lot of their valuables every year as they do not have sufficient time to take them when they move out for temporary locations. Currently technology is not being used to predict these situations and no precaution is being taken to inform the people early to avoid these situations. Your team is hired to analyze the situation and come up with a technological solution to prevent this and the government should be able to manage this situation smoothly using the solution you have developed. The solution can be a mixed of hardware and software components and you are free to come up with anything. When you have come up with the solution you need to present your solution in a creative way. You can use any online tools if you prefer. As part of the exercise, you will need to find which government agencies and departments that you will need to engage to pitch the solution that you plan to develop. You will need to estimate the cost of the solution as well.
